Abortion Risk

Abortion has high risk towards health and also towards women’s safety. It is not right if someone has an abortion and she “doesn’t feel anything and directly can go home”. This is misleading information for each woman, especially those who are confuse because they don’t want this pregnancy to happen.

There are 2 health risks for a woman who has an abortion:

Risk of physical health and safety
When having an abortion and after an abortion there are several risks towards a woman, as explained on a book “Fact of Life” written by Brian Clowes, PhD which is:
01. Sudden death due to severe bleeding
02. Sudden death due to anesthesia failed
03. A slow death due to serious infections in the womb
04. A torn uterus (Uterine Perforation)
05. Damage to the womb neck (Cervical Lacerations) that causes the defect in the next child
06. Breast cancer (due to imbalance in the female hormone estrogen)
07. Ovarian cancer
08. Cervical Cancer
09. Liver cancer
10. Aberration in the placenta (placenta Previa) which will cause a defect in
the next child and the severe bleeding at the time of the next pregnancy
11. Become sterile or not able to have more offspring (Ectopic Pregnancy)
12. Infection pelvis (Pelvic inflammatory disease)
13. Infection in the womb layer (Endometriosis)

Risk of mental health
Abortion process is not just a process that has high risk in terms of woman healthy and safety physically, but also has deep impact to a woman’s mental health.

This symptom is well-known in psychology world as “Post-Abortion Syndrome” or PAS. These symptoms is recorded in “Psychological Reactions Reported after Abortion” in the publication of The Post-Abortion Review (1994).
Basically, a woman that has an abortion will experience this following:

3. Nigtmares many times about the baby (63%)

5. Start trying to use medicines and drugs (41%)
