10 SMALL HABITS THAT CAN TRIGGER DIABETES

Foods and drinks that can trigger diabetes.

In this live, there is “savings” law. What we did will be our savings in the future. What we save little by little we will have the results in years. This also includes disease. Start from a glass of favorite drink until watching TV until late at night. Who knows it could increase the risk of diabetes?

1. Sweet Tea
Simple explanation: highly consuming sugar cause the blood sugar level increase highly, not counting calorie yet. A glass of sweet tea contains approximately 250-300 calories (depending on thickness). Calorie requirement for adult woman approximately is 1900 calorie per day (depending on activity). From sweet tea we can get 1000-1200 calorie, not yet counting rice with side dish. It is suspected that everyday we are excess of calorie. Result: obesity and diabetes.
Solution: mineral water, tea without sugar or limit consuming sugar no more than 2 spoonful a day,

2. Fried Food
Because of the small shape, one fried food is not enough for us. Fried food is one of highly risk factor of degenerative disease, such cardiovascular, diabetes, and stroke. The main cause of cardiovascular disease is there is a stoppage coronary blood vessel, with one of the main risk factor is dislipidemia (aberration cholesterol). Displidemia is aberration lipid metabolism which is marked by increasing of total cholesterol measurement, LDL (bad cholesterol) and trigliserida, also decreasing of HDL (good cholesterol) in blood. Increasing of displidemia proportion in society is because of the habit of consuming low fiber and high fat food, including fried food.
Solution: Japan bean or fruit pie.

3. Snacks
We thought that limiting lunch or dinner could elude from obesity and diabetes. Because we are still not full, our stomach is filled with a piece or two of snack such biscuit or potato chips. In fact, biscuit, potato chips, and sweet cakes contain high carbohydrate without substance and other food. All of those foods are classified into high glikemik index. Besides, sugar and flour that is inside the food has potential to increase sugar level in blood.
Solution: Sleep enough 6 hours a day or better 8 hours a day.

5. Lazy Doing Physical Activity
WHO (World Health Organization) said, diabetes case in Asian countries will rise until 90% in 20 years ahead. “These past 10 years, diabetics in Hanoi Vietnam, doubled. Why? In this city, the citizens prefer using motor bike rather than bicycle,” said Dr. Gauden Galea, WHO advisor for non-infectious disease in West Pacific Region.
In conclusion, they who has low physical activity has higher obesity risk than they who likes to cycle, walk, or other activities.
Solution: Cycling to office.

6. Often Stressed
Stressed same as flood, should be flow so it will not become big flood. When stress comes, body will increase epinephrine hormone and kortisol so the sugar blood will increase and there is energy reserve to have activity. Our body is designed such for good. But, when sugar blood is triggered by prolonged stress without way out, it is same with slowly suicide.
Solution: Talk to someone, share it with your best friend.

7. Cigarette Addicted
A research in America involving 4572 men and women volunteers discovered that the risk of active smokers towards diabetes rise about 22%. It is also said that the risk is not only because of smoke, but the combination of unhealthy lifestyle, such eating pattern and exercise.
Solution: Free sugar candy. More progressive way is to follow hypnotherapy. Choose an expert hypnotherapy that has experience and certified officially.

8. Taking Contraception Pill
Mostly contraception pill is made from combination of estrogen and progestin hormones, or only progestin. Combination pill often cause changes of sugar blood. According to Dr. Dyah Purnamasari S, Sp PD, from Endocrinology Metabolic Division, the work of contraception pill hormone is contrary to insulin work. Because it against to insulin works, pancreas is forced to work harder to produce insulin. If left too long, pancreas becomes weak and cannot function well.
Solution: Limit the time of using hormone pills, not more than 5years.

9. Frighten Skin Becomes Black
According to Diabetes Care journal, women consume high vitamin D and calcium has low risk of diabetes type 2. Besides from food, the best vitamin D source is on sun shine. 20 minutes sun shine is enough of Vitamin D for 3 days. Several new research, which published by American Journal of Epidemiology, said that vitamin D also help regularity body metabolism, including blood sugar.
Solution: Use sun cream before bathing under morning sun shine for 10-15 minutes.

10. Hipped Soda
From research done by The Nurses’ Health Study II towards 51,603 women age 22-44 years, found out that the increase of soda drink can make weight and diabetes risk bounce higher. The researcher said, increasing risk happen because the sweet content inside soda drinks. Besides that liquid calorie absorption cannot make us full so we tend to drink more.
Solution: Cold juice without sugar.
