Collect the Cotton that Flew

For Reflection…

Once upon a time there is a successful businessman; he has abundant wealth, harmonic family and faithful best friend.

As a businessman, he has to go around various regions and states for his company progress. But in one time this businessman is contaminated by gambling culture. At first he only tries, but from a try become addiction, curious to win make this businessman deep into gambling until without realizing that the wealth that he has collected with effort all this long is used up. No one knows that this businessman has a bad habit: GAMBLING to cover his own mistake then the businessman reveals the reason he bankrupt is because he is cheated by his own best friend.

The news then rolls on from just some people, the story arouse to others, until all region acknowledge about this news, everyone sympathize towards this businessman, and blame the businessman’s best friend who cause the poverty.

The best friend knows about the news, the best friend is sad and fall ill, each day everyone scornful the best friend and avoid this best friend, the best friend situation becomes worse.

The businessman then gets news about his sick best friend. The businessman is shocked and hurry visit his best friend who is too weak and powerless lying on the bed. The businessman does not realize that the falsehood lie that he created to cover himself actually hurts his best friend’s heart. The businessman aware his fault, the businessman is so shy and asks for forgiveness “My dear friend, what can I do to redeem my mistake?”

His best friend weakly says:
“Take a pillow and go up to the roof, on top of the roof take out the pillow and take out the cotton, and spread the cartons slowly until the cotton is finished.”

The businessman does what his best friend asks, and after finish the businessman goes back to his best friend and asks: “I have done it, what is your other request?”

The best friend then says:
“Ok, now collect back all the cottons that you have spread.”

The businessman says:
“Sorry my best friend, I cannot collect it again because the cotton already flew by wind.”

The best friend then says:
“Same as the falsehood lie that you had spread, you cannot take it back again right?”

The businessman halt then hug his best friend and says:
“Thank you my best friend, even though I have done bad to you but you still teach me lesson about live, I promise I will improve my behavior and this situation with my own capability.”

Good readers:
It is hard to admit the guilt that we have done, better live heroically and responsible of our live rather than under the feeling of someone coward. There is a proverb that said slander is crueler than murder, as the story told about the lie that we spread result can make someone reputation or other name besmirched, if already besmirched what can we do?? Can we take back the lie news and clean up the besmirched? ……I don’t think so……

That’s why it is better that we could tell others good / positive much more than their negative sides.
